Shanti Stupa is one of the most iconic landmarks of Leh, symbolizing peace, harmony, and unity. Perched atop a hill in Chanspa, the stupa offers breathtaking panoramic views of Leh town, the Indus Valley, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The stupa was inaugurated in 1991 by the Dalai Lama and was built under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Japanese Buddhist monk. It stands as a testament to the strong cultural and spiritual ties between India and Japan.
